This HP dv63050us laptop is Amazing, it’s fast’ light weight and seems to be very well built.I got right at 4hrs on the battery while playing music, surfing the net and transferring files from my old Hp dv63050us laptop. The battery recharged in just about an hour.
The keyboard is solid all though it took a little getting use to, coming from my 17in Dell with a full size keyboard. The track pad is great with pinch to zoom and gestures.
The AMD quad core is powerful and hasn’t missed a beat yet. The Hp dv63050us laptop stays cool and quiet the only time i hear a fan is when it’s booting up.

When receiving the package, I immeadiately charged it. Afterwards, downloaded all the programs that I needed to replace my four year old laptop. Talked to the internet company to get that started (my fault b/c I forgot a step to set up). After my set-up was done, I absolutely LOVE it!!!!
My soul purpose for the Timeline is writing. But I do need to carry the laptop to different locations and interview clients. And this “dream” laptop is a sure delight. The processing speed is quick for what I do. Downloads are fast. And the biggest plus….this laptop does not get HOT like my old one. So, I’m ditching the “lap”top cooler! I’m free to roam.
The Battery life is outstanding! I surfed the web for over two hours(unplugged from the ac adaptor) before I came to write this review, my indicator is showwing 90%…8 hours left! WOW!!! Granted, I did some tweaking to the display and power adjustments. But still, 8 hours left after two hours of surfing the net….I love this laptop!
Now the down side. If you’re looking to webcam with this laptop, you’ll be disappointed. You need to be outside for the proper lighting. Or you can have the lamp light your face if you’re indoors. I have adjusted the webcam to a certain degree, but still the quality wasn’t there. But like I mentioned before, the soul purpose is for writing.

Well, i had a Toshiba Mini NB205 that was an excellent netbook, very portable, resistent and had a beautiful appearance, I really liked this computer the internet and word worked razoably nice in this PC, but sometimes the internet conexion was a little too slow for me, and another sites, like [...] and [...] – that are very heavy sites, were extremly slow to download and that irritated me a lot. So, I decided to change for a new netbook, and when I discover this ACER (Acer AS1830T Laptop) ASPIRE 1830T with the new intel core i3 inside I got crazy. And now I am really happy with this little PC!!!
Pros: the 11.6 inch lcd screen is a lot better than the 10.1 inch ones, it makes lot more easier to see the internet or work with the Office. Using for long periods the 10.1 inch screen is very tiring for the eyes, and the 11.6 is the perfect size for a ultraportable notebook.
The computer is very fast, you can see any page in the internet with no problem. And the Windons 7 64 bits works like a breeze, it’s sensational.
The built quality is very good, it really is a superior computer very beautiful and resistent.
The keyboard is very good, the letters have a really nice size and you can type on this for hours and hours. I really loved the full size left SHIFT button, what is extremelly annoing in others netbooks. The keyboard don’t have problem of flex, maybe just a little bit but that’s will not be notice or be a problem when typing. The Toshiba Mini NB205, that is one of the best netbook in the market has a lot more flex than this one that almost don’t have flex at all.
The duration of battery is fantastic and even more for a i3 processor. I thought that just the processors n450 could have the capacity of lasting so much. Fortunatly I was wrong, and I discover that this machine can last longer than 6 hours of solid internet conexion.
The computer is very very thin, and light, and the best thing is that the battery don’t come out of the machine, it just stay where it should be, with any part out from behind or down the netbook like the N205 da toshiba.
Cons: it could come with a minimum of 128 MB of dedicated Video Ram, But that’s not a big deal because I will not play games in this little computer.
Another problem is that this don’t come with 4 GB of RAM, it could be included because this computer is expensive, but the 3 GB works more than perferctly for me.
Well, finally I highly recommend this computer for ANYBODY, who wants portability, fast internet conexion, and long battery life.

The first laptop had dark spots in the corner of the display. Amazon next day shipped the replacement. Excellent customer support. This laptop runs great out of the box with only a small about of junk software. Mainly ASUS K61IC Deals applications showing you some of the cool things you can do. Windows 7 so far has impressed me but be aware you will need to do a large amount of updates. (1 gig or better) The HDMI interface works great for connecting your HDTV to play dvd media and web content. Laptop runs cooler than expected but I still would recommend a good power cooler pad.
I was disappointed to find out the fully charged battery only lasts 1.5 hours. I can’t imagine what kind of a charge it will hold in 6 months. I notice now that there is no mention of battery life on any of the Asus laptops I looked at. Perhaps there is a battery upgrade?

In my quest to replace my laptop I was stubborn & hesitant at first to stray from Dell having owned 3 laptops previously from them with no issues and nothing but excellent experience. I went shopping at a local Electronics retailer and stumbled upon this machine which is lesser known in the Southern US, however I have now learned they are the 3rd largest seller of laptop computers in the world and have won numerous awards. This machine is FAST it boots up to start menu in a mere 8 seconds flat which is impressive. Although there are faster machines out there, for the price of this one it is well worth it for under $1000. The screen picture is crisp as no other and is LED HD and has one of the best resolutions out there, great for movies and other video media. The internal sound card combined with alltec lansing speakers provide for an excellent sound also for music, etc. ALthough not as fancy to the eye or as gimicky as a Dell XPS this is as compatible as it gets and at a better price. also interesting is the 1yr warranty that protects you even from accidental dropping of the machine. 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, etc.
I picked this out for our son who wanted something for gaming, with a larger screen than my wife’s 15″ work laptop but not as bulky as our family 17″. He would have preferred a >$2000 gaming rig but given he’s in the military, I didn’t want to give anyone else itchy fingers, not to mention being in less than optimal conditions. He was doubtful when he received it but came around quickly once he found that it handled WoW easily. In fact, a friend “triple boxed” Wow (running three game concurrently) without any trouble! The keypad layout is much better than the configuration of our 17″ and the boot-up time is short and sweet thanks to ASUS for keeping it clean and virtually free of bloatware (yes, I’m looking at you, HP!) All in all, we’re very happy with the capabilities and price of this laptop and will be looking to ASUS K61IC Deals for our future needs.
I recently purchased this laptop, and have been very happy so far. Very fast performance and outstanding video display. I’ve read that ASUS K61IC Deals has the lowest return rates of any laptop, and I’m not surprised. The machine stays very cool and does not seem to overheat. I’ve only had this a short time but have been using it heavily, and am very happy with it.
I haven’t tested the battery all the way through, but I’m guessing from other comments that the battery life is probably indeed inside of 2 hours. Truthfully, that’s not an issue for me. Maybe it is for others, but I don’t fly much and don’t have a need to work without a power source for several hours.
If you are looking for a strong desktop replacement and want to spend under $900, this is the laptop to get.
The keyboard takes a little getting used to, but something tells me it might be sturdier than keyboards on prior laptops I’ve owned.

Had this laptop for about 2 months now, no tech problems. Had to replace Win7 with Linux, as it gets very slow as you load it with stuff.
Pretty decent for common tasks and quite good for gaming, but perhaps not for the latest FPS on max settings. Also works pretty fast with photoshop, although windows does consume a huge amounts of memory.
Laptop does stay pretty cool and after 2 months still works very quietly (my last Acer had a scratching and wiggling fan by that time). Battery lasts about an hour and a half on video playback (I guess could be longer if the power saving options are configured properly).
The only thing I did not quite like — the glossy finish of the laptop cover, however, to be fair, it does not show fingerprints as badly and does look pretty cool when clean for about 15 minutes that is Another little annoyance — plastic around the display is pretty soft and can easily accumulates minor scratches.
Another thing I did not expect — the 16″ display has a 1366×768 resolution, which means that it is more stretched than more “standard” 15.4″. Some games playable in full screen on 15.4″ now run in a small square in the center of the screen — which is not a huge deal especially if you have external display — but at the same time its great for watching movies.

I have only had it for 3 weeks and I love it already! Talk about performance and ease of use. My lovely mac starts up in less than 20 secs and awakes from sleep in ONE SECOND! Also, if any one has any concern about switching over to Mac, it’s a no brainer. The control is very intuitive and you just need to look up short cuts online (if you’re a keyboard person like me) and spend a day or two getting used to and you’ll be set! The trackpad is also nice and convenient – Some down sides are MS Office and Windows Media Player. I use WMP to play overseas radio and have downloaded adobe and Flip4Mac and what not and it’s still trivial that I might get it work for 5 min then it’d stop. It has never been a problem on a PC. I’m not complaining about this against Mac but would appreciate an easier solution. I can’t rate MS Office yet because I’m using my work laptop to do most of those work but have heard that PowerPoint doesn’t work in a Mac as well in as in a PC. I’ve been using Windows for more than 8 years and actually have been itching the buy a mac over the last few years but haven’t got around to. I came very close to buying the last apple (MC374LA Deals) model, the more expensive one with larger HD and quicker memory. So glad I didn’t since this version’s base model fits every of my need already and saved me several hundered dollars!

I was pleased with this model Asus UL30AX5K Deals, I did not need or want the switchable video, so this was a good bargain at 599 for the larger 13.3 screen and full size keyboard. The screen is very thin, notebook is light and solid. I have a few other Asus UL30AX5K Deals notebooks and like the chicklet style keyboard they use. It is also very cool running. The reason I would not give it 5 stars is the ridiculous battery claim or 12 hours. This is not realistic in any fashion. I would say it is in the range of 7-8 with normal use, so even if everything is turned off I don’t see any way to get to 12.
Overall, if you are looking for a 13.3 thin and light netbook (Asus UL30AX5K Deals) it is a fantastic deal. If you want to go a bit smaller and save about $100 I would look at the 1201N-PU17-SL as an option.
