This is a nice solid lamp. You can put up to a 60w bulb in it which is very bright. The base has a AC outlet built in that I have found handy. The lamp is nice and tall.
I don’t know what the problem was with the other reviews here saying that the lamp wont stand up. My lamp stands up fine. There is a screw at the joint, perhaps this screw came loose on some of the lamps.

After a lot of research about reading lamps, i finally bought this through amazon. It arrived in 4 days and was nicely packed. It came with a warranty paper and instructions to assemble it. It was very easy to fix and though first time after fixing when i tried to adjust its neck it creaked a little, but later i could adjust its height easily. The spectrum of light was good, the light was soft, the bulb did not heat too much (though they did heat up).
I found it ideal for reading, sewing, knitting, art work. The base is very stable, does not tend to fall, (given that the height of neck including the head is considerable). I can not comment about the durability yet but it sure looks like its going to last long.
My husband thinks this is too bright so he turns it to reflect off the wall and it makes a very soothing light in the room. I like the intense light for reading and it is wonderful. It’s also my “happy lamp” as it imitates natural sunlight. I would buy it over and over again if I had more offices.
I had this lamp since 2009 and I absolutely love it. I use it almost every night. This light is very bright which is exactly what I was looking for when I needed to get serious during study time without falling asleep., but after reading the negative reviews I’m even afraid to order a second one even after absolutely loving my lamp I don’t know how I ever studied without this lamp ohh yeah I used to study in the kitchen table . I bought this Circular Saw as a lightweight alternative to my standard Skilsaw, which is great but weighs 14 lbs. I’ve been a carpenter for thirty-plus years and my arm gets tired of lifting a Skilsaw all day.
The Makita is half the weight and works beautifully for the projects I’m currently doing: trim, cabinet work, small- scale remodels. I would not use it for framing walls or other work on heavy lumber; but for lighter work it’s perfect. The batteries last well enough that I can use it all day and recharge two or three times. Also great is not having to deal with a cord.
I bought the MAKITA (BSS611Z) 18V Lithium Drill and was very impressed with it. Thinking I could use the same batteries for another tool, I purchased this circular saw. Only after getting it did I realize the battery won’t work. The Drill Battery is only 15 Amp. So I had to buy a new battery anyway. The charger that came with the drill works for the 30 Amp battery, but there is also a faster charger that I think works only for the 30 Amp. So far I’ve only used the saw once, and it worked great. I had to trim a little off a door. The saw – even with a 30 Amp battery is lighter than my corded Circ Saw, and is easy to handle. It seemed pretty easy to keep a straight cut, and was able to easily cut all the way through the 1 1/4 inch door.

I purchased the bath set, tissue holder and wastebasket. The pattern is as lovely as it appears in the picture. The quality is excellent. I do however have a couple of problems with them. The tissue holder is oversized for boutique tissues, thereby wasting space on the vanity. The biggest problem is with the wastebasket. The items are ceramic and it is quite thick on the wastebasket making it very heavy.
I love Croscill Townhouse! This pattern is similar to Dover Manor (deleted line). No complaints. There is a double-long dish (tray) available at “Discount Bathroom Accessories”
I purchased the Croscill Townhouse bathroom accessories. First, the pattern “townhouse” is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are rich and the pattern is very elegant/regal & classy.
All pieces are made of ceramic, not cheap plastic and the “squirter” on the lotion dispenser (which I use for liquid soap and not lotion) is not cheap plastic, it is stainless steel. They are all very well made and sturdy, with some weight to them. The pieces are thick ceramic.
You have to be careful because some websites/stores call the small dish shown in this grouping a soap dish, others call it a tray. It is not the tray. The tray is much larger, so be careful and check sizing so you are sure you get what you expect. Most people think they have no use for the tray or soapdish but I STRONGLY suggest getting it if you have granite countertops in your bathroom or wherever if you plan on using the lotion dispenser as a liquid soap dispenser as I have. I placed the lotion/liquid soap dispenser on the soap dish because when you pump the jar, some soap can drip down onto the countertop. If you have granite countertops and the soap drips on it and it just sits there, it can stain your granite countertop. So that is why I’m using the soap dish as a tray under the dispenser.
The toothbrush holder has a removable rubber plug on the bottom to drain any water that settles in the bottom of it after brushing teeth. by “Bathroom Accessories Low Price”
There is also a “jar” with a lid that matches this set. It’s nice sized, all ceramic and is perfect for Q tips or cotton balls, etc. There is also the “tray” which looks exactly like the “soap dish” shown in this grouping but it is longer…like a tray. ha ha. The wastebasket is perfect size for a bathroom and looks identical to the tumbler except much larger. It does have a bit of weight to it but nothing that will give you a problem lifting or anything like that. I actually like the wastebasket having a bit of weight to it, I am famous for tipping the cheap plastic garbage cans over and well, you know what a mess that can be in a bathroom! The shower curtain that matches this set is just beautiful. Nice, thick material – definitely worth the money, especially since all of Croscill Bath Accessories “Townhouse” is on sale due to the pattern being discontinued. If you are interested in this pattern, BUY IT ALL NOW! Before it’s all gone.
One last thing…the comforter set is shown all over the interent and everyone uses the same photo which is a horrible one. The photo makes the comforter look dull and drab but in reality the colors are rich and vibrant…very elegant and classy looking. It’s nice and thick. You won’t be disappointed in any of the Croscill “Townhouse” items. But these bath accessories are the best made bath accessories I’ve ever bought. Well worth every penny. Due to this pattern being discontinued, everything is more than 50% off of the original retail price.
This is a great set, very elegant ensemble. I own the “Croscill Townhouse” queen sized bedding set (e.g., comforter, bedskirt, shams), and the matching bathroom accessories including a lotion (soap) dispenser, wastebasket, tumbler, tissue box, and covered jar which I use for Q-tips. As with the other pieces of the bath set it is made of earthenware so be careful not to drop or knock it over it will chip or break. My only problem with this set is the lotion/liquid soap dispenser pump piece gets a rusting look after awhile, I’m on my second one – and replacements are hard to find since the manufacturer “Croscill” has discontinued this line.

I spent weeks doing ‘homework’ before buying this TV. Went to multiple stores and did side by side comparisons and finally decided to get this one. I was really nervous about buying something like this online but now I am glad that I did. Amazon is amazing!!! Ordered the TV on Friday and it was delivered Monday. I never heard of the trucking company that brought it to my house but the driver insisted we open it up and turn it on and helped with everything.
The TV (Sansung LN55B650) itself is amazing. It provides an excellent picture right out of the box so that anyone can hook it up without professional assistance. Everyone who has visited in the past month has reacted the same way–Best picture they have seen yet on an LCD TV! Having the Yahoo Widgets (internet access) at your fingertips while being a couch potato is really cool. I have decided the TV is smarter than I am!

I spent a ridiculous amount of time looking for the perfect TV. I finally settled on the Samsung LCD 55 inch. A month later and I am still happy with my choice. The two things I was worried about was glare and motion blur. Both of which is not an issue for this TV. I don’t see how the picture could get any clearer. I paid $2,000 at Sears counting taxes and delivery. Don’t overthink it and don’t spend a lot of time getting hung up on the specs. In summary, this is a great TV and I have no issues after a month of use.
